It’s official! A new 2020 Ford Explorer is in the works! In fact, the all-new model is expected to arrive in our showroom in summer 2020! The sophisticated SUV boasts a sportier design and more off-road capability. Ford’s new Explorer also gets 600 pounds more in towing capacity for 2020 for a total of 5,600 pounds when properly equipped. It’s thanks to the Explorer’s rear-wheel-drive architecture and powerful 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine. In addition to the Explorer’s new design, the SUV also receives a long list of updated equipment. The new Explorer is lighter, leaner and stronger for 2020 and debuts with a long list of new technologies. This includes an available Terrain Management System with up to seven selectable drive modes, a new available 12.3-inch digital cluster and much more.
An all-new Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control system with Speed Sign Recognition, available Active Park Assist 2.0, new type-C outlets and new E-Z entry second-row seats have also been added. Inside the cabin is up to 87.7 cu.ft. of cargo space and a generous selection of standard equipment, including a power liftgate, an 8-inch digital touch screen, Wi-Fi connectivity and much more.
What colors does the new 2020 Ford Explorer come in?
Ford’s 2020 Explorer comes in a variety of sophisticated paint options, many of which are new. The new colors include Atlas Blue, Iconic Silver, Silver Spruce, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Rich Copper Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Star White Metallic Tri-Coat.
