It might be hard to tell the Ford Fusion and Ford Taurus apart just by looking at them. They are similarly shaped and sized, so nobody would really blame you for confusing them. Both models feature many of the same special options. Each car comes with Bluetooth compatibility and voice recognition technology, and they both come with much of the same advanced safety technologies. The most notable difference is the engine performance. The Fusion’s base 2.5-liter I4 engine produces a respectable 175 horsepower. Not bad, right? Not at all. The bigger Taurus, however, showcases a base six-cylinder, 3.5-liter engine that roars with 288 horsepower. Check out our table below for some more specifics.

Again, the primary differences between these two cars are the size and performance. The Taurus’ body is about a foot longer than that of the Fusion. So, if you think a more compact ride would better-suit your needs, maybe the Fusion is for you. Maybe you want a car with a stronger standard engine and more trunk room. If so, then you might want to check out the Taurus. Either way, you should see them both for yourself!
